Carole J. Morton

I am a licensed psychotherapist (#42677) and hold both a Masters in Human Communication and a Masters in Clinical Psychology.

I have trained with cutting-edge doctors in the field of mind/body or integrative medicine, including Dr. O. Carl Simonton, (Psycho-Social Medicine), Dr. Gerald Jampolsky, (Attitudinal Healing), Dr. William Emerson, (Regressive Birth Trauma Resolution Therapy), Dr. James Gordon, (The Center for Mind/Body Medicine) and Harvard Medical School, (Lifestyle Medicine for Stress Management).
 
I’ve worked
as a counselor since 1987 and as a psychotherapist in the
field of Marriage & Family Therapy since 2001. In addition to my University degrees, I have certifications and trainings in the following therapeutic modalities: Lifestyle Medicine, Hypnosis, Hakomi Trauma Recovery, Holotropic & Birth Trauma Regression Breathwork, Mind-Body Medicine, Food As Medicine, Micronutrients for Mental Health, Gestalt Therapy, Focusing, Guided Imagery, Inter-Personal and Intra-Personal Mediation, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Past-Life Regression and Gottman Relationship Therapy.

Along with my private practice I counseled patients at the Health & Healing Clinic, an integrative medical clinic of the California Pacific Medical Center under psychiatrist, Dr. Elisabeth Targ.
I was also the individual and group counselor at the AIDS Alternative Healing Program of the Quan Yin Acupuncture Clinic.

I am a faculty member at the Western Institute for Social Research
in Berkeley, a masters level clinical psychology program.
